James Wilson'', Rector of Tyholland, Monaghan > “Who was Who” 1897-2007 London, A & C Black, 2007, ISBN 9780199540877〕 he was educated at Trinity College, Dublin. Ordained in 1895, his first position was as a curate at St. Ann’s Belfast.〔"The Clergy List, Clerical Guide and Ecclesiastical Directory" London, John Phillips, 1900〕 He was Succentor and then Precentor of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin until 1914 when he became Rector of Drumcondra.
